Photographers who want to their test stamina for sports coverage can enter a contest to cover the 2012 London Olympics.

To win that all-expenses paid trip, they'll have to be one of the best photographers to cover a pentathlon event held this year in: Palm Springs (US), Sassari (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Chengdu (China)m, London (Great Britain) and Cairo (Egypt).

Mid-career journalists interested in press freedom and international networking will soon have the opportunity to enroll in an online journalism academy. The academy plans to enroll 20 journalists by the end of 2011.

Community radio conference aims to ignite social change


Community radio broadcasters from across the globe are invited to attend the World Assembly of Community Broadcasters in La Plata, Argentina from November 8 to 13.
